In these terms and conditions, the 'Company' or 'Altaya' will mean Altaya Wines Limited and the 'Customer' will mean any person, firm, company, corporation or body which places an order with the Company.
All sales are subject to our final confirmation. All orders received verbally, by fax or electronic mail are considered final. No cancellations will be accepted. Prices are subject to change without notice. All wines are offered subject to remaining unsold. Unless stated otherwise, all wines are offered lying in Hong Kong with the exception of en primeur. All goods sold are strictly non-exchangeable and non-refundable. This current list cancels all previous lists.
By placing an order, the Customer confirms that he/she is 18 years old or over. It is illegal to sell alcohol to people under the age of 18.
Ullages of all wines offered are top shoulder or better, unless otherwise stated. Although we strive to find wines in their best condition, the Customer must make appropriate allowances for natural variations of ullages, conditions of cases, labels and corks for old wines. We do not accept return wines for any reason, including corked wines.
Payment is due immediately upon confirmation of order.
Method of payment is preferably in the form of bank transfer.
Upon receipt of proof of payment before 1pm, delivery can be arranged the next business day. Otherwise, an extra business day is required.
Personal cheques will take up to 3 business days to process.
Surcharge will apply for credit cards payment (Visa & Master) with approved accounts only.

The order will be valid for 7 days upon confirmation. If payment is not received during this period, the order will be voided automatically.
We reserve the right to charge interest for all overdue invoices at 5% additional to the Prime Rate set by Hong Kong Monetary Authority until the invoices are settled.

For orders below HK$1,500, delivery charges are as follow:
Self-pick, HK Island, Kowloon and NT: HK$160
Discover Bay and other outlying islands: Limited delivery services may be provided, it depends on the final destination. Also additional charges may be applied. Please contact Altaya Wines directly.
For water delivery (HK Island, Kowloon and NT), the charge is HK$160, and it can be waived for orders over 10 cases/mixed with wine.
Late order delivery (after cut-off 14:30) and urgent delivery: HK$350
Special delivery schedule for the following zones:
Sai Kung: Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
Tung Chung/Airport: Every Wednesday
Altaya Shopping Bag
Our Altaya shopping bag including non-woven bags contain plastic finish such as plastic lamination, plastic string handle or polypropylene. Since from 1st April 2015, 50 cents will be charged as Environmental Levy on each Altaya shopping bag.
All Customers are requested to examine the goods immediately upon collection or delivery for any deficiencies and/or damages. Claims (if any) must be logged at the time of delivery, otherwise any breakages or shortfall shall be deemed to have occurred thereafter.
The charge will be yearly based at $240 per case. Cellarage invoices will be raised on 1 January each year for the full year. If wines are stored after the beginning of the year, charges will be calculated on a pro-rata basis. If you want to collect your wine early, we will refund you with the remaining full month(s) storage fee.
Altaya shall not be liable for any failure to meet our obligations occasioned by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

All sales and contracts are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR.

Also, to ensure personalized offers you may be asked for occupation, income level, interests, or wine preferences.

The only aims of personal data collection is to help us offer you easy control of payment operations as well as setting up personalized features according to your preferences and latest purchases. Altaya Wines will only process your personal data for the purposes of managing its customer care services as well as providing you information about the products and offers of Altaya Wines.
HOW will the information be safeguarded?
Altaya Wines shall safeguard your data to the best of our capacity. We shall keep it only for as long as is reasonably required for the above purposes or as required by applicable law. This includes keeping, for as long as reasonably required, such data as required for handling enquiries relating to any of the above purposes. Data held by the Company relating to a data subject will be kept confidential but the Company may provide such information when required by law or court order of any jurisdiction, or as requested by any government or law enforcement authority or administrative organization.
